God has opened some amazing doors for us to partner with Sweet Sleep as the organization that will receive our BOGO Bibles in 2010.
Sweet Sleep is an international nonprofit organization that shares God's love by providing beds to the world's orphaned and abandoned children. Currently, Sweet Sleep works in Eastern Europe, Africa and Haiti. You can help provide Bibles for orphans receiving their new Sweet Sleep beds by purchasing Waterproof Bibles! For every Waterproof Bible sold on our website, we'll provide a Waterproof Bible to an orphan in need.
One of Sweet Sleep's current projects is providing beds for orphaned children being resettled from their Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in northern Uganda into their home villages. Now that the more than 22-year war is over in this region, these children, many of whom are now living in child-headed households as a result of the brutal murders of their parents at the hands of Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), are finally able to return home. Sweet Sleep is partnering with the Ugandan government, World Vision's Children of War project and the American Refugee Committee to resettle these children. Sweet Sleep will provide each child being resettled with a new, healthy, comfortable bed, bedding, a mosquito net and a Waterproof Bible.
